Gracie was in her first flash flood, and Jason drove in his first. It was crazy. We were going back to Mom's coming from Granny's house and it started flooding everywhere,cars became boats, you could't see in front of you.

WE were just two blocks from Mom's house and tried to get home, but couldn't. A neighbor we never met let us into his house until the water came down. He helped me, Jason, my Mom and Gracie trudge through the streets to get to his house. It was so crazy!

We planted our garden in April. We have two types of tomatoes, we planted 3 zucchini plants, but between not watering and kids trampling over them I think only one has survived. We also planted green beans, the kids planted those, and all our herbs. Rosemary, lavender and parsley from last year, and this year we added basil, thyme and sage. Its all growing! The children love going and checking on the progress everyday, and they are learning to walk AROUND the plants.
